Raiffeisen Bank marked Eid Al-Adha with donations

 

• Financial aid granted to the Association Debra from Sarajevo and the Association of Children and Persons with Special Needs of Zenica-Doboj Canton

 

• Value of the donation is KM 5,000.

 

(Sarajevo, 20/08/2018) – “The joy of the holidays is complete only if it is shared with those in need. I truly believe that these donations will contribute to the quality of everyday activities of these two associations and improve the conditions for users of their services. I am pleased that our customers recognised positive aspects of the practice, as these activities of our Bank would not be possible without their support“, said Karlheinz Dobnigg, the Chairman of the Management Board of Raiffeisen Bank adding that, being a part of the international banking organisation governed by the principles of its sustainability strategy, the Bank is involved in a whole range of initiatives and projects, both through its financial support and the volunteering activities of its employees.   

On the occasion of the Eid Al-Adha, the representatives of Raiffeisen Bank visited Debra, the Association of People Suffering from Epidermolysis Bullosa from Sarajevo and donated the amount of KM 2.500. The goal of this Association is to connect the people suffering from epidermolysis bullosa and organise aid and support for them and their families. 

The same value was donated to the Association of Children and Persons with Special Needs of Zenica-Doboj Canton. This Association offers its services to the pre-school children in risk of intellectual disability, children with intellectual disability and those children whose parents or guardians are unable to offer appropriate conditions for their development. 

For several years already, Raiffeisen Bank has been routing its funds earmarked for greeting cards for humanitarian purposes, that is donations to various associations whose beneficiaries are children and persons with special needs. Since 2012, more than KM 425,000 has been granted through these activities. Out of this amount, donations for religious holidays topped KM 200.000.
