- Volunteering in the SUMERO Centre

- Over the following period, similar activities are planned for the “Parents’ House” and “SOS Children’s Village Sarajevo”

(Sarajevo, 14/05/2018) – “It is my pleasure that we have been able to contribute to the community we operate by means of the volunteer work of our employees as well.  Our operations rest on the Raiffeisen Group’s sustainability strategy, thus we strive to share our positive economic results with the local community. I am especially pleased with the fact that this year’s volunteer work by the Bank’s management is aimed towards associations that we have been supporting for many years now and whose activities are of truly noble character“, said Mr. Karlheinz Dobnigg, Chairman of the Management Board of Raiffeisen Bank and added that next volunteering is planned in the “Parents’ House” and the „SOS Children's’ Village Sarajevo“. 

Management Board members and B-1 managers of Raiffeisen Bank re-planted culinary herbs and assembled specially fitted shelves for growing herbs.  Sale of organic food and herbs enables SUMERO to finance professional rehabilitation and work of disabled persons.

With this activity, the Bank marked the 1st of June, the International Children’s Day aiming to draw attention to a need of protecting children from violence and various types of discrimination.  The idea was also welcomed by the H.Stepic CEE Foundation whose activities are also supported by Raiffeisen Bank International.
